Military Leave

Any employee who is a member of a reserve force or national guard of the United States or of the State of Illinois, and who is ordered by appropriate authorities to attend a training program or to perform other duties under the supervision of the United States or the State of Illinois, shall be granted paid leave of absence during the period of such activity, not to exceed fourteen (14) calendar days in any calendar year, in the case of a member of a reserve force; and not to exceed fifteen (15) calendar days in the case of the national guard. Employees hired after February 13, 1986, shall deposit their military pay with the City Comptroller for all days compensated by the City of
Chicago.
