This set of dashboards displays Office of Emergency Management and Communications (OEMC) 911 service calls for Chicago Police Department (CPD) response and an interactive map that shows where calls occurred by location of service. Click here to watch a brief tutorial video for the dashboard.
The information in these dashboards only includes service calls which indicate a unit was dispatched to the incident. Service calls are listed by their final assigned priority: “1 – Immediate Dispatch” (priority 1A, 1B, or 1C), “2- Rapid Dispatch” (priority 2A, 2B, 2C, or 2D), or “3 – Routine Dispatch” (priority 3B, 3C, or 3D). Calls are designated as behavioral health-related if the call type relates to a mental health disturbance or suicide, or are otherwise noted as such by the responding police officer(s) or the OEMC dispatcher/call-taker.
Data Sources: OEMC Management Information System (MIS). Records begin January 1, 2020, and the data is typically refreshed daily between 4:00 PM and 11:59 PM CST. Data represents the information that is in the OEMC database as of the date of last update (listed at the top of the dashboards).
